This project is for a competition to design an Indian heritage museum in Singapore.
The aim of the concept was to create a building that houses all aspects of the brief with a unique look quoting from Indian culture. One good example is the main facade which has stairs connecting the different levels. These stairs are ordered in such a way that they refer to the famously stepped wells of Rajasthan in India. A local Singaporean Indian artist was asked to do the mural painting.
THE PEMBA TRAIL
PEMBA ISLAND [KE]
The project is a masterplan for the Pemba Island of the coast from Tanzania. The concept for this was to create a holiday destination and make it a part of the highlights that Tanzania has to offer. In addition to safari’s and climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, tourists would continue the trail and do some diving and snorkelling on Pemba Island.
The logo symbolizes this trail combined with the distinctive sail shape of the Dhow boats used for fishing in Tanzania.
