This project is for a competition to design an Indian heritage museum in Singapore.
The aim of the concept was to create a building that houses all aspects of the brief with a unique look quoting from Indian culture. One good example is the main facade which has stairs connecting the different levels. These stairs are ordered in such a way that they refer to the famously stepped wells of Rajasthan in India. A local Singaporean Indian artist was asked to do the mural painting.
INTERIORS
CECIL STREET
SINGAPORE [SG]
This project is the interiors for an office space. The clients mainly needed conference spaces large and small. Instead of positioning all workspaces up against the glass facade, we convinced the clients to save this beautiful view for all users of the office.
The corridor is positioned along the glass facade with common areas such as the waiting area and pantry. The working desks and meeting rooms are positioned as one volume along the back wall. All furniture designed or selected are perceived as stand-alone sculptures.
